why are they so good ?

if you do something a lot you are going to get good at it eventually 
some times all the great art out there can be discouraging  
I just wanted to use this journal entry as a reminder 
that every one gets better with time, and older people have had more time 
if you do something every day you will improve a lot over 10 year's or 20 
so the next time you see some art that looks like it would take you 10 years to get that good 
maybe it will, just keep drawing paint and above all keep imagining.

of course I can't ignore natural skill.  some people pick things up easier then others
I think skill is just a catalyst that propels a person in to a lot of practice.
when you look at the best I think you will find they have the most time under there belt.
the top performers in any arena will have a marriage of skill work and time 
I would love to hear what every one thinks
