How to Grow your DA page

hey fellow deviants just thought I would write a post on how to grow a page. 
I kind of have an obsessive personality so often I devote more time than needed.
here are some tips and tricks I've picked up over the last year.
I can get about 50 new views a day if I do a little work.
 feel free to chime in with your own Ideas I would love a little discussion 

 #1 good art work is the best for growing a page practice, practice, practice and more practice
you never know when you could get a DD it pays 


#2 get out there comment, post, fav, watch, all will give you traffic, places where there is a lot of traffic 
are the Daily deviants and people with a whole lot of followers. give comments on there artwork.
there will be lots of people reading the comments. be careful though only make genuine comments
or you cloud be endanger of spamming. adcast is cheap and will get you a taste for what its like 
to have a bigger page 

#3 Stand out have a catchy looking icon, colored and moving will attract more attention.
colored art work is more popular then black and white. add cool widgets to your page.
Make a catchy saying on your comment signature. settings, identity, comment signature
look at mine as an example:

#4 gallery organize your gallery I feel putting most your art in the featured helps
it lets people now you have stuff right off. the first thing I do when I go in to
a gallery is look at the page number. its sad to say it but I often leave if they don't
have more then a page in there featured. some times I'll hit all if its empty but still
you don't want to give people an easy reason to leave.
     upload on a consistent bases, this one his hard but it pays off big.
Up loading lots of art work gets traffic going and I like to upload more than one piece at a time.
its fun when you get a ton of art from one of your favorite artists.
do backgrounds and mix it up a little, keep your visitors entertained

#5 show your self let people know who you are. do journals and write descriptions about your art 
when people comment on your page start a conversation, I probable check my friends pages 
more then some of my favorite artist. If people like your art odds are they want to know 
who you are.

#6 FANART people love what they love they my not love your stuff right of the bat but,
throw your version of Batman, or storm shadow or your favorite Disney character and 
you all ready have a fan, and they have something in common with you.

#7 groups joining groups can get you some good traffic. I usually join groups that share 
common themes with my art. there are groups about every thing and if you don't find one 
you like, you can always start one.

#8 Art trades are something I haven't done yet, but it could be awesome for getting traffic
find an artist that has a similar style as you and ask if they would like to trade 
the feature the art they did for you. they will feature the art you did for them  and a good art 
trades always has a link back to your site, you get some of there fans and they get some of yours.

#9 feature trades are a lot like art trades but more awesome. Because you feature some one on 
your profile page and they do the same for you. also if you randomly feature your watchers you may 
get more and that's always good. by the way I feature my watchers  

#9 Be tricky after all this is "DEVIANT" art. say stuff like don't click on this link or 
come up with a catchy fav's folder name. like mine "how to grow a DA page". that could be 
why your here after all. be on the look out for tricksters and become one your self.
